Happiness has many different forms. Whether thats other people who make you happy or creating your own happiness. Yesterday at work I was smiling the whole day and was happy for no reason it seems. Honestly if you’re happy does there always need to be a reason? But some of the things that make me happy are when I count my blessings such as being grateful for having a wonderful family. For having met some amazing people and that im glad I got the chance to meet. Having a nice place to live. The little things that we sometimes take for granted. Also having a positive outlook on things and being excited contribute to happiness. Just dont take things for granted. Count your blessings. Though you might have a bad day doesn’t mean you have a bad life.
Stop making excuses
If you ever made a promise and kept it, I respect you. Its so hard to keep promises but I love wanting to do lots of things. In reality doing them is a lot harder. Actions speak louder than words. If I say im going to do something, I try the best to my ability to do it. So if you have a dream, go for it! Don’t make excuses saying you cant do it. The only thing that’s stopping you is you. Sometimes on my youtube channel when I am coming up with video ideas I start doubting myself. Thinking “will I actually be able to do this?” But the thing is you just have to start. Have confidence in yourself and don’t put things off. If you need to get something done, get er done!
Don’t view life as a to-do list
I am a very task oriented person. I usually get things done. That’s great and all but sometimes it can take the fun out of everything you do. I’ve learned to enjoy every moment of my life. So do something everyday that makes you happy, that brings you joy. You will feel even better completing those tasks if you enjoyed doing them.
Beauty
Beauty is mostly measured in outward appearances but is also measured on what you are on the inside. I don’t care how hot you think you are but if you have an ugly heart, you’re ugly in my eyes. “Makeup cannot conceal an ugly heart.” I like taking care of myself whether that’s getting a hair cut or shaving. I try to look the best I can and there is nothing wrong with that. Just dont get cocky. If you do, humble yourself and think there is always someone who will look better than you. Now if you have low self esteem, accept yourself for who you are. Love your body and work it. Sometimes I find it easier to take care of the outer person than it is the inner. It’s hard. I’m not gonna lie. Im gonna be honest and say yes I have a short temper. I’m trying to be more chill about things. Sometimes I wouldn’t want to be around myself. Obviously something is wrong here. There is always room for improvement. I have my things I have to work on. The saying “don’t sweet the small stuff” is so true. Dont get heated up, letting the little things bother you. Here is another aspect of it, don’t let other people influence you or pressure you to do something you don’t want to do. If it goes against everything you stand for, find better friends. If they can’t respect where you stand, they don’t respect you.
My Current Thoughts
Hey guys. Im gonna start blog entries where I just write my current thoughts. So here it goes. Today I felt depressed and really anxious. In life I tend to get these feelings. Sometimes I feel like giving up on everything. There is this waitress where I work, she made me smile today. She said “what does it take to get a smile on your face?” (Now I did think of the joker in batman when he says “lets put a smile on that face” lol) Ok well that made me laugh but in all seriousness, just her saying that made me smile. She is really nice and its people like her that make life better. I always tell myself to have a positive outlook. There are several bad moments in life which is why when good things happen, cherish them. Enjoy it to the fullest extent. For some reason I feel stuck sometimes. I find myself not enjoying anything. Dont ask me why because I have no idea how the mind works sometimes. But when good things do happen, I enjoy them. I guess this is called depression. Mmm. Good thing this isn’t an every day occurrence. I guess sometimes you just have one of those days.
I am a very task oriented person. I am the opposite of procrastination. But this has a downside. That it can take the fun and enjoyment out of life. This stops now. I want to enjoy every moment of life. If its bad, it will make me stronger. If its good, it will make me happy. Here is a biblical reference that has some great advice. Matthew 6:34 – “never be anxious about the next day, for the next day will have its own anxieties. Sufficient for each day is its own badness.” So I just like to take a day at a time. Dont worry about things I have no control of. Sometimes worrying creates problems that dont even exist. Quotes from songs such as what doesn’t kill you makes stronger and dont worry be happy are amazing songs and have a lot of truth in them. In life you go through several trials. But thats just it. It is simply that. A trial. It will end. With that in mind my friends, I end this blog post by saying count your blessings and dont worry, things do get better.
